German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. shredded coconut
2 pkg. Dream Whip, stiffly beaten
1/4 to 1/2 c. chocolate syrup
1/4 c. pecans, chopped

Preparation

Combine in saucepan the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
To this mixture add part of the milk, enough to make a medium paste.
Beat in eggs; add remaining milk.
Cook until very thick.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, chocolate chips, pecans and coconut. Let cool.
Pour into pie shell.
Top with Dream Whip, chocolate syrup and pecans.
