Chocolate Chip Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 small can evaporated milk
    3/4 c. melted margarine
    1 c. chopped nuts
    16 oz. caramels (48 to 50)
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Hand-mix cake mix, remaining evaporated milk, butter and nuts.
    Spread half of cake mixture into greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for six minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread with melted caramels. Sprinkle on chocolate chips and top with remaining cake batter. (Will be difficult, as cake batter is thick.
    Easiest to drop by small spoonfuls.)
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    for 20 minutes.
    Do not overbake! Brownies should be soft.
