Pickled Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 - 8 oz. cans button mushrooms or 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1 medium onion, sliced thin, separate rings
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 cup tarragon
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 clove garlic, minced
    dash of hot sauce
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and place in glass dish with cover.
    Let stand 24 hours.
