Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
25 Hi Ho crackers (whole)
1/4 c. butter (stick type)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon to taste
Preparation

Bring water, sugar and cream of tartar to a hard boil, then drop in Hi Ho crackers and let boil 2 minutes, without stirring, but be sure all crackers are covered with mixture.
Pour in pie crust and top with cinnamon and cut up butter.
Put on top crust and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until golden brown.
