Whole Fried Turkey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 to 12 lb.) turkey
    1 1/2 gal. cooking oil or shortening
    salt
    red pepper
    Season-All
Preparation
    Thaw turkey completely and wash thoroughly.
    Freely season turkey skin and cavity with salt, red pepper and Season-All, rubbing seasoning in well.
    Place cooking oil in a 20 to 26-quart pot or jambalaya pot, bringing oil to temperature hot enough to light match.
    Place turkey in oil; reduce heat to slow boil.
    Cook 45 minutes, turning every 8 to 10 minutes.
    Make sure oil stays at a slow boil.
    When golden brown, remove and cool.
    Carves like a baked bird.
