Saltine Cracker Crunch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar (white)
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 stick butter
    2/3 c. smooth peanut butter
    1 c. flaked coconut
    24 white saltine crackers, crumbled
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, milk and butter in a large saucepan.
    Bring to a full boil.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly.
    Boil 4 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add peanut butter, coconut, crackers, nuts and vanilla.
    Stir until well mixed. Pour into buttered pan and chill. Cut out squares.
    Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
