Red Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, cut up
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. Minute rice (do not substitute)
Preparation
    In a 1-quart saucepan, melt butter.
    Add onion and cook until soft.
    Stir in brown sugar, bacon, tomato sauce, chili powder and water. Add to cooked onion. Cook 5 minutes on simmer setting, covered with lid.
    Stir rice evenly into mixture. Cover and cut off heat.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Serve.
