Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 can pineapple slices
4 eggs, separated
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter in pan; stir in brown sugar to melt.
Remove from heat and drain pineapple (save 2 tablespoons of juice).
Press pineapple slices into brown sugar; set aside.
Beat egg yolks; add white sugar, beating well.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir into egg yolk mixture.
Add pineapple juice and vanilla.
Beat egg whites until glossy.
Fold into yolk mixture. Place in prepared pan and bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
