Ozark Apple Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. peeled, chopped apples
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar until light.
    Beat in egg.
    Sift together flour, soda, nutmeg and cinnamon.
    Add to creamed mixture. Fold in apples and nuts.
    Spread evenly into a greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until center is done.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Serves 9.
