Klondike Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 eggs
    1 tsp. cream of tartar, sifted
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. cake flour, sifted
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff.
    Fold in sugar and flour.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Add salt and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.
    Fold into egg whites. Pour into ungreased 10-inch tube pan for 1 hour before removing. Yields 16 servings.
