Norwegian Apple Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 1/4 cups sugar
    1 stick butter
    2/3 cup milk
    4 baking apples
    1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
    Heavy cream or vanilla ice cream, to serve
Preparation
    Put the eggs into a large bowl, add 1 cup of the sugar, and beat until stiff and creamy.
    Put the butter and milk into a sauce pan and heat gently until the butter has melted.
    Meanwhile, arrange the apple slices in a shallow ovenproof dish 12 inches diameter, buttered.
