Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 (8 3/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly.
Stir in pineapple. Sift flour, soda, salt and nutmeg together.
Stir into the sugar mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Chill at least 1 hour.
