24-Hour Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 head lettuce, shredded
1 c. each: celery, cut fine; onion, cut fine; carrots, shredded; green peppers, diced; frozen peas, rinsed in hot water; sour cream; mayonnaise and Cheddar cheese, shredded
12 strips bacon, cooked well and crumbled
3 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Drain lettuce well and spread evenly in flat bottom container. Add in layers the celery, onion, carrots, green peppers and frozen peas.
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar.
Spread over peas.
Sprinkle bacon and Cheddar cheese over mayonnaise mixture. Cover with Saran Wrap (tightly) and refrigerate for 24 hours.
