Spanish Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    1 O-bone roast, remove fat and bone, cut into very large chunks
    1 jar chunky salsa (16 oz.)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. salt, pepper and garlic
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 large onion, chopped
    2 c. raw long grain rice
    3 c. hot water
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil until loses pink.
    Add everything except rice.
    Simmer 2 hours; stir occasionally.
    Add rice and simmer 1 more hour.
    Stir occasionally.
    If becomes dry before rice is done, then add more water.
    Cook in large Dutch oven size pan. Cook covered.
