Apples In A Jar (For Pies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. water
    5 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Boil water, sugar and cornstarch 20 minutes; add cinnamon and lemon juice. Peel and slice apples; pack in sterile jars. Pour hot syrup over apples to 1 inch of top of jar.
    Seal and process in water bath for 20 minutes after it starts to boil.
