Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix (butter recipe)
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 can sliced pineapple
Preparation
    Preheat oven
    as
    per box instructions.
    In 13 x 9-inch baking pan, melt 1 stick butter in oven.
    Remove from oven and sprinkle brown
    sugar
    evenly
    across
    pan.
    Place
    pineapple slices along edges and in center of pan with cherries inserted in their holes. Save the juice from the pineapple and substitute it for the water in the cake batter.
    Prepare cake batter as box
    instructs.
    Pour evenly
    across
    pineapple
    layer and bake.
    Cake
    is
    done
    when toothpick comes out clean.
    Allow cake to cool.
    Loosen edges and turn out.
    Ready to serve.
