Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large green peppers
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 egg
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut peppers in half.
    Remove stem and seeds.
    Wash peppers.
    Heat 2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt to boiling.
    Add peppers.
    Cook 5 minutes and drain.
    Mix remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce.
    Add only 1/2 of the can.
    Stuff peppers with mixture.
    Place in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Cover meat on top with remaining sauce, about 1 teaspoon apiece. Bake for 45 minutes or until done.
