Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. thin sliced cucumbers
    1 c. sliced onion
    1 c. sliced green pepper
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Put in bowl in layers cucumbers, onion and green pepper and salt each layer.
    Let stand for 1 hour.
    Drain.
    Rinse and drain for 1 hour.
    Heat to boiling:
    sugar, white vinegar and mustard seed.
    Pour over sliced cukes and put in refrigerator in a glass jar (keep a long time).
    Must be kept in refrigerator.
