Apple Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening, melted or vegetable oil
Preparation

Preheat oven to
425\u00b0.
Grease
muffin cups; set aside. Sift flour, sugar and
spices into bowl; set aside.
Break egg into separate bowl;
beat
lightly with fork.
Add applesauce, milk and shortening.
Add
flour
mixture.
Stir
just
until blended. Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full.
Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 12 muffins.
