German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 slices bacon, cooked crisp
    7 or 8 potatoes, boiled in jackets
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cooking oil (preferably 1/4 c. walnut and 1/4 c. olive oil)
    2/3 c. white vinegar
    1 c. beef broth or consomme
    salt
    garlic powder
    nutmeg
    white pepper
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain off excess fat.
    In skillet, saute sliced onion until soft.
    After boiling potatoes, cool, peel, slice and place with onions.
    Add sugar, white vinegar, oil and broth.
    Season with salt, garlic powder, nutmeg and white pepper.
    Crumble bacon and add to potatoes. Steam and simmer until desired consistency.
