Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, diced
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 c. tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    2 tsp. salt
    Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions in vegetable oil.
    Add beef and cook until gray. Add next 6 ingredients; stir.
    Put into greased casserole dish. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Uncover and sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake 15 minutes, uncovered.
