Cherry Frosting(Serves 16, With Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1/3 c. milk
    16 oz. powdered sugar (2 c.)
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cut each cherry into 3 pieces with knife or clean scissors. Place cherry pieces on paper towels to dry.
    In saucepan, heat to boiling, stirring a few times, margarine, cocoa and milk.
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually add and beat until smooth, powdered sugar, cherry pieces and almond extract.
