Bantoffi Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. butter
    9 oz. ginger biscuits (cookies), crushed
    1 can condensed milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 bananas, sliced
    1/2 pt. whipped cream
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup butter.
    Stir in crushed biscuits.
    Press into a pie pan.
    Place remaining butter and sugar in a pan and heat gently, stirring until butter melts.
    Add milk and heat stirring continuously until simmering.
    Simmer on low heat for exactly 5 minutes to make a light golden caramel.
    Keep stirring.
    Pour over biscuit base and allow to cool in refrigerator. Serve chilled or for a softer toffee, serve at room temperature.
    Top with bananas and whipped cream.
