Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1/2 c. white corn syrup (Karo)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    pinch of cream of tartar
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Pour over 15 to 20 cups of popped corn.
    Put in roaster and bake 1 hour at 250\u00b0; stir every 15 minutes.
    Cool.
    Put in an airtight container.
