Neptune'S Beer Batter - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 egg, separated
1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. beer
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. milk

Preparation

Measure the flour into a bowl.
Make a well in the flour; add the egg yolk, beer and salt.
Stir until well blended.
Gradually add milk; stir until smooth.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Makes enough to coat 1 pound of fish.
