Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown rice
    1/3 c. Crisco
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. tomato sauce
    1 small garlic clove, minced
    3 c. chicken broth or 3 c. water with 4 chicken bouillon cubes
Preparation
    Place brown rice in skillet with Crisco; cook until golden brown.
    Add onion, tomato sauce and garlic.
    Cook for 1 minute. Add broth; bring to a simmer.
    Cover and cook for about 35 minutes or until tender.
    Makes about 3 cups cooked rice.
