Joe Froggers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. water
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. ginger, ground
1 tsp. cloves, ground
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream shortening with brown sugar.
Mix in molasses, then add water.
Mix well.
Sift together flour, salt, ginger, cloves and baking soda.
Add to molasses mixture.
Stir until well blended. Divide dough into 2 parts.
Wrap each part in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut into 4-inch rounds. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
