Our Favorite Guatemala (Kekchi) Meal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dry black turtle beans
    1 onion
    3 or 4 cloves garlic
    3 or 4 slices cut-up browned bacon or diced ham
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Soak the beans overnight and cook the next day until soft or soak 1 hour and cook in pressure cooker.
    While in the cooking process, add remaining ingredients.
    Cook until real soft. Serves 8 to 10 people.
