Turtle Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. Swiss chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. butter, melted
2/3 c. evaporated milk
14 oz. light caramels
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation

Place cake mix, melted butter, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in large mixing bowl.
Beat at high speed until well mixed.
Place 1/2 of mixture into a 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan and press well into bottom.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.
Place caramels and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk in heavy saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until smooth.
Pour evenly over baked and cooled chocolate mixture.
Spread with spatula to cover all of chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
