Southern Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sour milk
    1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. water
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    white of 1 egg, beaten stiff (add last)
Preparation
    Mix in the order given and bake in muffin tins or in a shallow pan in a moderate to hot oven (400\u00b0 to 425\u00b0) for 20 minutes.
    To be a real Southern bread, this should be made of white cornmeal made from the whole grain.
