Sweet-N-Sour Meatballs - cooking recipe

1 lb. hamburg
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
13 oz. pineapple chunks
1/3 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 small chopped green pepper
1 can cherries
Preparation

Mix hamburg, bread crumbs, milk, chopped onion, salt, Worcestershire sauce and egg.
Shape into 20 (1 1/2-inch) balls. Cook meatballs in skillet; remove and drain fat.
Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet.
Stir in pineapple (with syrup), vinegar and soy sauce.
Heat to boiling, stirring.
Reduce heat; add meatballs.
Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
Stir in green pepper and cherries (without syrup). Cover and simmer until crisp-tender, 5 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
