Savory Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground chuck
    1 1/2 c. onions, chopped
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    3 (6 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1 stick butter
    1 large (about 4 1/2 lb.) pineapple
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 cinnamon stick
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Preparation
    Slice pineapple lengthwise into quarters through stem end to crown.
    Remove each quarter in one piece from rind.
    Cut crosswise into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
    Stir together sugar, pineapple juice, vinegar, cinnamon stick, cloves and red pepper flakes in medium size nonaluminum saucepan.
    Bring to boiling.
    Lower heat; simmer 15 minutes.
    Add pineapple pieces to saucepan.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes or until pineapple is tender.
