Red Hot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. red hots
    1 c. boiling water
    1 large pkg. cherry Jell-O
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. applesauce
    2 c. small apples, peeled and finely diced
    2 c. celery, finely diced
    2 c. pecans, finely chopped
Preparation
    In one bowl, mix red hots and boiling water.
    In another bowl, mix Jell-O and boiling water.
    Mix the 2 mixtures together and let set slightly in refrigerator.
    Add applesauce, diced apples, celery and chopped pecans.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch dish and chill until set.
