Grandma'S Best Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried beans
    1/4 to 1/2 lb. bacon
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/2 tsp. mustard
    1 medium onion, diced or whole
    2 Tbsp. catsup
    water
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight; drain.
    Heat large ovenproof pot on stove top and sear diced bacon.
    Add beans, sugar, molasses, salt (if used), mustard, onion, catsup and water (enough to cover beans).
    Cover and bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 3 hours.
    Stir once each hour and add water if needed.
    This recipe will serve 4 to 6 people as a side dish.
