Ingredients

1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
2 c. milk, scalded
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
3 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Scald milk; blend sugar, flour and salt and add to hot milk. Cook over double boiler or medium heat until thickened.
Beat egg yolks; add to hot pudding.
Re-cook for 3 minutes; add vanilla and butter.
