Marinade Of Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1/3 to 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
    1/4 c. tomato ketchup
    1 Tbsp. basil
    2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    3 lb. top round beef (2 inch thick)
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients in covered jar and shake well. Score meat lightly on both sides and place in baking dish.
    Pour marinade over meat and cover.
    Marinate in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours, turning and basting occasionally.
    Place meat on broiler pan and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
    Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 25 to 30 minutes, turning and basting frequently with marinade.
    Slice thin and serve.
