German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

whole potatoes (1 per person)
1 raw onion
celery salt
salt
pepper
parsley flakes
1 lb. pkg. bacon (per 5 lb. bag potatoes)
bacon grease
vinegar
sugar to taste
Preparation

Boil potatoes with jackets on; skin and dice.
Dice fine the onion.
Add seasonings; sprinkle each as you would for each potato.
Cook bacon, drain and cut in small pieces.
Use 1/3 cup bacon grease to each 2/3 cup vinegar (1 cup per each 6 to 10 medium potatoes).
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar per cup of liquid. Heat liquid to blend flavors.
Pour over potatoes.
Stir in bacon, leaving some crumbled for garnish.
