Dr. Hicks' Favorite Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can kidney beans (1 lb. size)
    1 lb. ground sausage, browned and drained
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 glove garlic or 1/2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 1/2 to 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Brown and drain fat of sausage.
    Brown 1 cup chopped onions in olive oil.
    Add garlic, parsley, Tabasco sauce, beans and sausage all together in skillet or pan and simmer to blend flavors.
    Use water in can of beans; add one cup of water. Simmer on low for approximately 10 minutes while cooking rice. Serve over rice.
    Serve with extra Tabasco sauce if desired. Don't simmer until dry or will be without some sauce for rice.
