Carrot And Mushroom Saute - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 1/8-inch rounds
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 medium size clove garlic, peeled and smashed
    2 c. sliced, fresh mushrooms
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Place carrots in pan.
    Add boiling water to cover by 1 inch. Boil, partially covered, until tender-crisp, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain.
