Bean Pot - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry lima beans, soaked overnight
1 lb. pork sausage
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 large can tomato juice
2 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 Tbsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne
Preparation

Brown sausage.
Save 2 tablespoons drippings to saute onions, celery and pepper.
Add to beans and meat, then also add tomato juice, sugar, salt, chili powder and cayenne.
Mix well and simmer (lid off) until it becomes a little thick or cook in crock-pot. Serve with Italian bread or corn bread.
