Savory Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder or salt
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    about 1/2 c. chicken stock
    1 pkg. frozen green beans or 1 can green beans, undrained
    1 small bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 small onion
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy skillet and add ginger, garlic and soy sauce.
    Mix well.
    Add the green beans and 1 onion, sliced thin and separated into rings.
    Add chicken stock or chicken soup cubes. Add bay leaf and parsley flakes.
    Season to taste.
    Cook over gentle flame, about 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
