Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. finely chopped apples
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in apples and nuts.
    Mixture will be very thick.
    Press mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
