Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2/3 c. shortening
5 c. self-rising flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Combine buttermilk and soda. Blend flour and shortening with pastry blender.
Add sugar to flour mixture.
Mix yeast, water, buttermilk and soda; add to flour mixture.
Mix well.
Place in airtight container in refrigerator.
Keeps for several days.
