Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large box and 1 small box vanilla instant pudding
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Bake cake according to directions in 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan. Cool. Take half of cake and break into small pieces. Put in punch bowl. Prepare pudding and let stand until thickened. Then put half of pudding over cake, then half of pineapple, including juice; 1 can cherry pie filling; one carton Cool Whip; and half of nuts. Repeat with rest of ingredients. Add a few maraschino cherries on top to decorate.
