Dump Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in syrup
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 to 2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter (may need a little more than 1 stick)
Preparation
    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Dump undrained pineapple in pan. Spread evenly.
    Dump cherry pie filling for second layer and spread evenly.
    For third layer, add dry yellow cake mix.
    Spread evenly; pat gently to make even layer.
    Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over cake mix.
    Slice butter pats evenly over cake mix (may need a little more than 1 stick).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Serve warm or cool.
    Top with Cool Whip or ice cream.
