Strawberry Angel Food Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) strawberry jello
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. sliced frozen strawberries
    1 Tbsp. sugar or Equal
    pinch of salt
    1/2 (10-inch) angel food cake, town in pieces
    1/2 pt. whipped topping mix (D-Zerta)
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in 1 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Stir in thawed strawberries, sugar and salt.
    Cool until it starts to thicken. Fold in whipped cream.
    Cover bottom of 9-inch pan with 1/2 torn angel food cake.
    Pour over 1/2 of the strawberries and cream mixture.
    Make another layer of rest of torn cake; pour over remaining strawberries and cream mixture.
    Refrigerate 4 hours. Cut into squares.
    You can use sugar-free jello to further reduce sweetness if that is a dietary need.
