Coq Au Vin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 chicken breasts
    6 chicken thighs
    1/4 to 1/2 c. flour
    salt, pepper and butter
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cut in quarters
    4 shallots, chopped
    1/2 clove garlic, crushed
    20 small whole onions
    5 slices bacon, diced and cooked crisp
    1 c. Burgundy wine
    1 bay leaf
    1 1/2 c. croutons, sauteed in butter
Preparation
    Coat chicken in seasoned flour.
    Brown in butter; remove and place in 3-quart casserole.
    Brown shallots, mushrooms and garlic. Add to casserole.
    Saute onions; cover and cook until tender. Add to casserole the onions, bacon, wine, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
    Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with border of croutons.
