Gerschus Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    4 egg yolks
    5 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter, add brown sugar, heat just to boiling. Remove from heat, cool, and add egg yolks, flour, milk, and salt. Bring to boil over direct heat, stirring constantly, then place over hot water for 10-15 min. Add vanilla. Pour filling into baked pie shell.
