Seafoam Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. cold water
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and cream of tartar; mix well.
    Boil until mixture spins a fine thread.
    Remove from heat and pour over stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Add vanilla and beat until mixture stands in peaks.
    Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper.
