Sausage-Stuffed Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. soft, stale bread crumbs
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    10 or 12 cocktail sausages
    3 slices bacon
    catsup (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except the last 3, and mix well. Pack half into 9 x 5 x 2-inch loaf pan.
    Arrange sausages in two rows on top.
    Pack on remaining mixture on top of first layer, being sure to seal edges all around.
    Cover with bacon slices.
